Scan2Eat Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 17 October 2026

Azayn wants everyone to be able to use Scan2Eat: the guest ordering app, the admin, staff and kitchen apps, and this website.

Our target

We aim for WCAG 2.2 Level AA in the guest app, and at least WCAG 2.1 AA in the staff, kitchen and admin apps. These line up with EN 301 549, the standard the European Accessibility Act refers to.

Where we stand

Scan2Eat has not yet been independently audited, and we do not claim conformance. Our own checks so far are described below. We will update this statement after each audit.

What we build in

  • keyboard operation and visible focus;
  • labels for screen readers;
  • touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels;
  • enough colour contrast in the light and dark themes, and no information carried by colour alone;
  • text that can be enlarged;
  • right-to-left layout and suitable fonts for Arabic and Hindi, and six interface languages (English, German, Spanish, Italian, Hindi and Arabic);
  • no time limit on placing an order.

Known limits

Menu text is written by each venue and is not translated by us. Photos and videos are uploaded by venues, and a venue is responsible for the descriptions and alternative text of its own content. We provide the fields and guidance. The list of limits will grow or shrink as audits find them.

Feedback

If something does not work for you, write to support@azayn.com. We aim to answer within 10 business days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the market surveillance authority responsible for accessibility in your country. In Germany that is the Marktüberwachungsstelle der Länder für die Barrierefreiheit von Produkten und Dienstleistungen (MLBF).
