Scan2Eat Sub-processors

These are the companies that process personal data for Scan2Eat on our behalf or, for guest and staff data, on behalf of our business customers. Changes are announced under section 5 of the Data Processing Agreement, at least 30 days ahead.

Hetzner Online GmbH

• Address: Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany
• Purpose: hosting of the Kubernetes cluster, storage volumes, load balancer and object storage (menu photos, videos and encrypted backups)
• Data: all service data
• Location: the EU (Germany or Finland)
• Transfers: none outside the EU; data processing agreement with Hetzner

Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (and Stripe, Inc.)

• Purpose: subscription billing, checkout for device orders and tax calculation
• Data: the business's billing contact, company details, VAT identification number and shipping address. Never guest data.
• Location: the EU and the United States
• Transfers: EU-US Data Privacy Framework where Stripe is certified, otherwise Standard Contractual Clauses

Resend, Inc.

• Purpose: transactional email (verification, invitations, password reset, low-stock and restock reminders, billing notices)
• Data: the recipient's email address and the message content
• Location: the United States
• Transfers: EU-US Data Privacy Framework where Resend is certified, otherwise Standard Contractual Clauses

Google Ireland Limited and Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited

• Purpose: sign-in, only if the user chooses to sign in with Google or Microsoft
• Data: the identity token (email address, name and account identifier)
• Location: the EU and the United States
• Transfers: each provider acts as an independent controller for its own sign-in service, under its own terms

Not used

No advertising network, no analytics or tracking service, no error-monitoring service, no AI or language-model provider, and no third-party fonts or content delivery networks. If we add a monitoring service, it will be listed here first.
