Scan2Eat Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It applies to businesses that use Scan2Eat and to everyone who uses it under their account.
You and your users must not:
- use the Service for unlawful purposes or to infringe the rights of others, including publishing misleading, unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit or defamatory content, or offering counterfeit goods;
- misstate prices, taxes, service charges or allergen information, mislead guests, or hide charges the law requires you to show;
- imitate another business, use a misleading business name or web address, or register names to resell or hoard them;
- get around plan limits, including by renaming or copying restaurants or hotels in an account, sharing one account across unrelated businesses, or reselling access without our written permission;
- try to reach another business's data, probe or test the security of the Service without our written permission, bypass rate limits, or interfere with the Service (for example by denial-of-service attacks, scraping or automated ordering abuse);
- forge, relay or distribute QR codes in a way that lets people order from outside the venue, tamper with QR display devices, firmware or credentials, or copy device identities;
- upload malware, or use the Service to spread spam or send unsolicited bulk messages;
- enter or ask guests for special-category personal data (such as health data) unless the law allows it, or collect guest data beyond what the Service provides without a legal basis;
- use the payment-interface or webhook feature to send data or credentials to parties without authority, or set up interfaces that mark bills as settled when they are not;
- use the Service in sanctioned countries or for sanctioned persons.
