Scan2Eat Device Terms of Sale
Last updated: 17 October 2026
1. Scope
These terms apply when a business buys the Scan2Eat QR display device (the "Device") through the Scan2Eat portal from the provider named in our Legal information ("Azayn", "we"). We do not accept orders from consumers. The order process asks for business details and, where it applies, a VAT identification number. Device sales are subject to the Terms of Service for the Service the Device works with.
2. Contract and prices
2.1 Showing Devices in the shop is not a binding offer. Your order is an offer. The contract is made when we confirm the order by email or ship the Devices.
2.2 The price per Device, including any volume discount, is the one shown at checkout. Prices exclude VAT and shipping unless they say otherwise. The reverse-charge mechanism applies for a valid EU VAT identification number in another Member State. You pay through Stripe Checkout when you order. You bear taxes and duties on shipments outside the EU.
2.3 We may correct obvious pricing errors before shipping, and you may then cancel the order.
3. Delivery and set-up
Delivery times are estimates. Devices come with generic firmware that is not yet configured. You give each Device an identity and its Wi-Fi settings in the Scan2Eat admin app over USB, using a desktop Chromium-based browser. Risk passes when we hand the Devices to the carrier. Report obvious transport damage within three days.
4. Use, and the link to your subscription
A Device works only with an active Scan2Eat subscription on a plan that includes changing QR codes. Without one, it shows a not-configured or offline message. Use the Device as its documentation says: indoors, on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, with a suitable USB power supply. Do not modify it, resell it with changed firmware, or use it to get around the Service.
5. Security and firmware
5.1 Each Device gets its own credentials from the admin app. Keep them secret, and revoke a lost Device in the console.
5.2 We provide signed firmware updates for at least five years after the last sale of the model, by USB flashing or over the air. Install security updates within 30 days of our notice. Report vulnerabilities to support@azayn.com.
5.3 The Device reduces, but cannot remove, the risk that a QR code is relayed or forged. For example, someone could photograph the current code and send it to a person outside the venue, who could use it until it changes.
6. Warranty
6.1 The warranty period between businesses is 12 months from delivery, for defects present at delivery. We choose between repair and replacement. If that fails twice, you may reduce the price or withdraw. There is no warranty for damage from improper use, liquids, impact, unauthorised firmware or unsuitable power supplies. You must examine the Devices and report defects promptly, as commercial law requires.
6.2 For a return, write to support@azayn.com with the order number and a description of the fault.
7. Liability
Section 11 of the Terms of Service applies to Devices in the same way. Liability under the Product Liability Act and for injury is not affected.
8. Compliance information
We are the manufacturer of the Device. The EU Declaration of Conformity, the instructions and the disposal information are provided with the Device. It is electrical equipment: dispose of it separately according to local law. The Device has a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi radio.
9. Retention of title; export control
Title passes when we have received full payment. You must follow export and sanctions laws and any import rules in your country, including radio approvals. We may refuse to ship to countries where we have no valid approval for the Device.
10. Governing law and courts
As in section 17 of the Terms of Service.
